The Lady of the Lake was always a mystery. People said she had died by drowning, others said that she was shot and her body was dumped in the lake. I know they are all wrong, because the Lady is a creature that roams around carefully picking out her next victims. Nobody could see the lady except her victims. This is what happens:
It starts with a slight breeze, even though the windows are closed. Then your hairs stand on end, as if there is a presence right next to you, then the breeze begins to pick up, so you get up and walk over to your window to make sure that the window is actually closed and locked. It is, but when you turn around you see a women. She is kind of tall and is wearing a long dirty white dress. She had jet black hair that went down to her ankles because she had her head bowed down low. You asked her who she was, but she never answered. You blinked your eyes once, but when you opened your eyes she was gone. You go to bed thinking you’re crazy and hallucinating. One part of you believes that the woman was real, but your logical side would not accept it. You saw the women almost every day for the next two weeks, and heard the voice of a women whispering in your ear, “Go to the lake.” Your friends thought you were going insane, so you isolated yourself. It was a lonely two weeks, but you got through. You never realized that those last two weeks would be your last. You find yourself at the lake one Sunday evening trying to clear your mind. Her voice had become prominent in your mind, so you gave in. You are sitting at the edge of the dock, with your legs up to your chest. You feel your hairs stand and you knew that she was there. She was talking about going home, and that I should go home. She turned to me and held out her hand for me to take. You were in some kind of a trance, and took her hand not realizing what you were doing. She lifts you off the ground and you stand with her. She pulls you off the edge and you plunge into the icy cold water. The coldness fully clears your mind, but it’s too late. All you can do is let go as the Lady drags you down and down into the depths of the lake. So people say that the Lady of the Lake is not real, but I know differently. Wanna know why? Because I’m the Lady of the Lake.
