Hey guys! I am actually writing this blog from my desk in my dorm!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! I have been at university for about 2 weeks, I think. Classes started this past Wednesday, and I’m already covered up in homework. I have had to do College Writing homework, write two papers, and Algebra homework. I bought all of my books on Amazon for a total of $200!!! That isn’t bad for 5 college textbooks.
I am also sick (disappointed, but not surprised). The doctor told me that I have bronchitis, and this is the worst case of bronchitis I have ever had. I can’t stop coughing, my nose is SO runny, and I can’t sleep/rest. Needless to say I am miserable. I have prescribed meds, but other than that, life is pretty good. I am super excited about this next chapter of life. I have met a ton of awesome people, and I have made a few friends.
Other than those things nothing else has happened. I’m just living life, and trying to survive. Which one way you can help me survive is by BUYING MY MERCH!!!!! It would really help me out, and we have t-shirt's coming out soon which I am SUPER EXCITED FOR!!!!! So go buy merch, and have a blessed week! Bye!
One of my favorite ministries is Delight Ministries. They are fully focused on college age girls, and they have chapters around the US in different colleges/universities. I have followed them for a few years now, and I am SUPER excited to become apart of the Delight chapter at my university. Today I want to talk about the new season of For the Girl podcast! I am on the Season 2 Launch Team, and I have already listened to the first three episodes. I LOVE THIS SEASON SO MUCH!!! They are going deeper into God and they aren’t just covering topics about dating and relationships.
The second episode covers the topic of friendships, and I wrote a page of notes about what they were saying. Some of the points they hit are VERY useful and can be applied in everyday life. One of the quotes from the episode is, “When you have nasty thoughts about comparison you have the option to just celebrate.” This was super powerful because comparison is the thief of joy, and people usually just let it happen. God wants us to have joy, and one of the ways we can do that is to celebrate your friend for doing something awesome instead of being upset that they can do something you couldn’t do.
The third episode deals with social media, and how to use your influence for good. Mak and Kenz made some awesome points about being on a social media detox, posting with the right intention, and setting boundaries. They give some GREAT advice! I honestly plan on implementing some of what they said into my daily life.
I think that’s it for today peeps! Don’t forget to check out the For the Girl podcast wherever you listen to them. The first episode is already out, but if I do this correctly then this post will be up August 6, which is when the second episode is out! Go follow Delight on Instagram @delightministires. You can also follow me on Instagram @noelle_janae, and you can go like my Facebook page which is just noelle janae. I’ll talk to you guys later!
Hey guys! Today I have a very special announcement.. I HAVE MERCH!! Well not yet, but the first merch item is on its way. The reason for this is 1. It gives me a job during school, and 2. It’s a fundraiser for London. I’m super excited for this journey!
I will be selling wristbands, T-shirt’s, ball caps, and stickers. All of these will have sayings that my mom and I have come up with. The main saying is, “follower.” This is a very simple word but it’s meaning has power. Being a follower of Jesus is not just about following. It’s about doing what Jesus did. Jesus loved above any measure we could comprehend. As Jesus-followers we are called to love people.
The pieces and prices will be available soon! You guys may not hear from me in awhile, but I will try to keep y’all updated on things! If you want to see what I’m up to you can follow me on Instagram @noelle_janae. And you can also like my Facebook page!! Have an awesome day guys!!
I will call them my people, who were not my people; and her beloved, who was not beloved. -Romans 9:25
